Pasqal to Go Public via SPAC at $2B Valuation

France-based Pasqal is advancing its neutral-atom quantum computing strategy, building on Nobel Prize–winning research by co-founder Alain Aspect. The company reported at least €340 million (~$394 million) in new financing, comprising a €170 million (~$197 million) private round and a committed convertible instrument, as it prepares for a dual listing on Nasdaq and Euronext Paris, targeted for 2026-2027. The plan includes a SPAC transaction with Bleichroeder Acquisition Corp. II that would take Pasqal public and value the company at $2 billion. Proceeds will fund R&D, infrastructure expansion in Palaiseau, France, and a doubling of production capacity within 24 months, alongside a nearly 20% workforce increase, with 50 hires planned over the next 18 months. The company acquired Qu&Co and My Cryo Firm in 2022. In June 2025, Pasqal announced the acquisition of photonic IC specialist Aeponyx (Montreal), aiming to advance its roadmap toward scalable, fault-tolerant quantum computing. Spun out of Institut d’Optique in 2019, Pasqal aims to reach 1,000 physical qubits by the end of the year and 10,000 qubits by 2028.
